Environmental and Working Conditions
The client, schedule and locations are subject to change. The Agency services several counties. They are Bastrop, Blanco, Brazos, Burleson, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Grimes, Hayes, Lampasas, Lee, Llano, Mills, San Saba, Travis, Washington, and Williamson. The Employee must have reliable transportation to and from the client’s home (some exposure to unpleasant weather). The employee will work in the client’s residence in various conditions, possible exposure to blood and body fluids and infectious diseases; ability to work flexible schedule, and upon separation, the employee must notify the agency of their availability (on a daily basis) plus make themselves available for all service areas (even if for a temporary basis). The agency will offer the employee a “similar” job. “Similar” is defined as one of equal pay ad equal opportunities. The agency is open for discussion to compensate for travel time.

Non-Nurse Field Supervisor — Austin
The Non-Nurse Field Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of services to all clients referred to his/her caseload by supervising the activities of the attendants. The supervisor should assess client’s functional status and take the necessary action to ensure client’s well being. This service is to be delivered in full compliance with the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) regulations, contract standards, and OHS agency policies and procedures. The Non-Nurse Field Supervisor must be able to assume a leadership role, function independently and participate in back-up supervisory casework both in giving and receiving.
Duties:
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, supervise, evaluate and terminate (if needed) attendants needed to provide services for clients.
• Maintain a current/accurate Field Control Manual or Client Master list that may be used for scheduling, hiring, supervisory visits, skilled nursing visits, and preparation of timesheets in case of planned or unplanned absences by Field Supervisor.
• Make initial visits to each client’s home with the attendant on/or before initiation of service for the purpose of developing a plan of care, orientation, and hiring the attendant.
• Conduct visit (depending on program requirements), to each client’s home for supervision and evaluation of services. Telephone communication will occur as necessary to ensure services are provided as described.
• Assist in preparing payroll twice monthly.
• Visit the case manager in the DADS office as contractually prescribed in order to maintain communication, receive referrals, and resolve problems, entering referral data on agency log.
• Substitute as needed and available for other Field Supervisors during absence as may be assigned by Administrator, Lead Nurse or Coordinator of Services.
• Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Administrator.

Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing is a registered professional nurse who ensures quality of patient care in the home. Primary function is for the overall administration of the clinical departments and monitoring of appropriate staffing and productivity; coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
Licensure: Be a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Texas or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact , current Texas Driver License, current CPR.
Experience: Minimum one year experience as a Registered Nurse obtained within the last 36 months. One year experience in home health care preferred. Management experience preferred.
Skills: Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrates proven decision making skills. Must read, write and comprehend English.

Direct and coordinate clinical departments and branches; assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered in compliance with State and federal regulations (Conditions of Participation).
